169 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the number of local authorities which have established local public account committees as permitted under recent local government legislation. [2616/04]
View answerThe establishment of local audit committees is a matter for consideration by each individual local authority following the commencement of section 122 of the Local Government Act 2001 on 14 November 2002. As yet my Department has not compiled detailed information regarding the establishment of these committees by local authorities.
