220 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if voluntary nursing homes, charities and health board-run hospitals are charged the work permit fee of €500; and if not, if they receive it free of charge. [2765/04]
View answerThe annual work permit fee of €500 applies to all work permit applications except where my Department has decided that an exception is appropriate. Many organisations and businesses have charitable status for tax purposes and the work permit fee may be waived in respect of those organisations that are not engaged in competition in the marketplace.
