View answerThe persons in question are not employed as part of the authorised staffing allocation approved by my Department for Cork Institute of Technology. I understand Cork Institute of Technology is funding these posts from the student services charges paid to the institute by students and that the persons in question are employed on a temporary contract basis. The terms and conditions of employment attaching to contract posts funded from the student services charge are generally determined by the employing institute.
