Questions (276)

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

362 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in appointing the necessary staff at Naas General Hospital; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that existing staffing levels are insufficient to meet requirements and that, as a consequence, the hospital is restricted in the degree to which it can provide adequate services to the public; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of services at Naas General Hospital rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to examine the matters raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
