303 Mr. Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department has prioritised the amalgamation of the three post-primary schools in Kildare town; and if it is intended to purchase a site for a new community school in the town. [5935/04]
View answerThe property management section of the OPW is acting on behalf of my Department in regard to site acquisitions generally and is currently exploring the possibility of acquiring a site for an amalgamated post-primary school in Kildare town. As soon as a site has been acquired my Department will allow the project into architectural planning in accordance with the criteria used for prioritising post-primary building projects. The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
