473 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if interviews have taken place for the position of county registrar for County Clare; the number of persons interviewed; if the successful candidate will be in place for the local and European elections; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that interviews for the position of county registrar for County Clare were held by the Appointments Advisory Board, and that ten eligible candidates were interviewed. A memorandum on the appointment in question is currently with the Government and I expect that a decision will be made shortly.
