337 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children the core funding made available to service providers in respect of disability services provided directly by his Department or through the respective health boards in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003; the amount received by each of the service providers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following is the estimated non-capital expenditure by my Department on the disability programme for the years in question:

The amounts provided to the various service providers are a matter for decision by the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officers of the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards with a request that they examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
