View answerI understand the law in relation to the issue raised by the Deputy is set out in the Road Traffic (Traffic & Parking) Regulations 1997. These regulations require that an appropriate road sign is provided at the entrance to such an area and that certain prescribed information concerning vehicles should also be publicly displayed. The Garda Síochána is responsible for enforcing this provision where the conditions set out in the regulations regarding signage are met.
