89 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science when he expects to allow the ABA school in Rathfarnham, County Dublin to proceed; if he will authorise the works to commence immediately in view of the number of children awaiting places; when he expects it to be operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is actively considering the application. My officials are liaising with my Department's inspectorate and the National Educational Psychological Service and a response will be issued to the applicants as quickly as possible.

My Department perused the application and asked the applicants about the children who would attend the facility and the proposed accommodation. A response is awaited.

90 Mr. N. O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Education and Science when a new school (details supplied) in County Cork will be opened. [7415/04]

The construction of a new three classroom school is nearing completion. It is envisaged that upon its completion the school will be ready for occupation.
