262 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason Donabate-Portrane Educate Together national school has not yet been granted permanent recognition over a month since they first met with the criteria laid down as necessary for such recognition. [7748/04]

An application from Donabate-Portrane Educate Together national school for permanent recognition is under consideration in the school planning section of my Department. As soon as a decision is taken in the matter, the school authority will be notified.

263 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the large sum of money owed by Donabate-Portrane Educate Together national school to Fingal County Council and that the school’s board of management has no ability to meet this charge; and if the Department will contact the school as a matter of urgency to discuss the matter. The situation referred to by the Deputy has not been brought to the attention of my Department. The management authority of Donobate-Portrane Educate Together national school should contact the school planning section of my Department with the relevant detail for consideration.
