368 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 will obtain a hearing aid from the NRB in view of the fact that more than €2.131 million has been granted to the NAHB and ERHA since 2000 in an effort to reduce the waiting list and improve the service for hearing aids; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of community audiology services to eligible persons in Dublin 11 rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
