View answerMy Department's driver testing and licensing section has a staffing complement of 58 and is based in Ballina, County Mayo. In 1989 the function was decentralised from the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. Due to the passage of time it is not possible to indicate how many of the workers that transferred to Ballina were originally attached to the Department of the Environment and Local Government. My Department also has a staffing complement of 130 engaged in the provision of driving tests at centres located throughout the country.
