352 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason the parents of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny are disallowed from attending with them at clinic appointments; if their desire to be present should be accepted as was the case with a previous consultant or doctor; and if he will investigate the matter. Responsibility for the provision of services to people with an intellectual disability and autism is a matter, in the first instance, for the South Eastern Health Board. My Department, therefore, has asked the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.

353 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if enhanced subvention will be paid in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will expedite a positive response in the case. [9609/04]

As the Deputy will be aware, the provision of health services in the Kilkenny area is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him as a matter of urgency.
