184 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Health and Children if adequate funding has been provided to the South Eastern Health Board for the urgently required opening of 19 extra beds at Wexford General Hospital; when it is expected that these beds will be opened; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has received tender documentation from the South Eastern Health Board for the provision of an additional 19 beds at Wexford General Hospital. This proposal is being considered in the context of the Capital Investment Framework, 2004-2008, which is the subject of ongoing discussions with the Department of Finance.
