196 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress that has been made to fill the post of full-time consultant at Beaumont Hospital which has been vacant for two years; and if it will be filled, if it has not already been filled; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Services at Beaumont Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to her directly.
