View answerI am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a duplicate application for a tax clearance certificate was received by the relevant Revenue district on 22 April 2004. I understand the original application was sent to the wrong Revenue district office. On 22 April, a letter issued from the Revenue office advising the tax agent for the community group that there were a number of tax returns outstanding and that, as a consequence, a tax clearance certificate could not be issued. When the outstanding returns have been filed and any outstanding liabilities paid the matter will be reviewed again.
