View answerUnder the terms of the primary school transport scheme, only eligible children qualify for free transport. To be eligible, children must live at least two miles from and be attending their nearest national school. As the child of the family referred to by the Deputy in the details supplied has been enrolled in a school other than its nearest school, the child is basically not eligible for free transport. Concessionary fare-paying transport is all that can be offered to the family involved.
