View answerIn the first instance the provision of health services in the Kildare area is the responsibility of the South Western Area Health Board acting under the aegis of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. The authority has advised my Department that it will meet the board over the next few weeks to review progress to date on the nurse recruitment initiative and to review overall requirements for the successful operation of the assessment unit once sufficient staffing is in place.
