74 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress made to date in regard to his consultations on whether to establish an inquiry into events surrounding the murder of two persons in Grangegorman, Dublin 7, in March 1997 and subsequent Garda investigation, as sought by relatives of one of the murdered persons; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As I have previously outlined to the House, I am still consulting the Garda authorities and the Office of the Attorney General to assist me in making a decision on the request for an inquiry into the murders in question. I will make a decision on the request as soon as all relevant advice is received and considered.
