88 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress made to date in the Garda investigation into the murder of a prisoner in Mountjoy jail on 27 January 2004; if the Garda investigation has been completed; if a file has been sent to the DPP; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerI am informed by the Garda authorities that the investigation into the murder of the person concerned is still ongoing. On completion of the investigation, a file will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions. The Deputy will appreciate that the investigation of this matter is an operational matter for the Garda and it would be inappropriate for me to comment further.
