View answerAn application for capital grant assistance from the 2000-2006 Equal Opportunities Childcare Programme was received from this private child care provider on 3 October 2003. The day to day administration of the programme is undertaken by Area Development Management Limited, ADM, which has been engaged by my Department to carry out thorough assessments against the programme criteria of all applications for grant assistance, on my behalf.
I have made inquiries and understand that this project is currently in the final stages of the assessment process. On completion of this process, the project will be referred to the programme appraisal committee, chaired by my Department, which makes a funding recommendation to me before I make a final decision on the matter. In the interim, it would be premature of me to comment further on this capital grant application.
