298 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Health and Children the average length of time spent by autistic children on the waiting list for speech and language therapy in the various health board areas; and the immediate new measures he proposes to introduce to reduce the waiting time for those requiring attention. I propose to take Questions Nos. 298 and 300 together.

As the information requested by the Deputy is not readily available in my Department, my officials have asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the chief executive officers of the health boards to investigate the matters raised by the deputy and reply directly to him.
