View answerMy Department received no application for exemptions under the Air Navigation (Carriage of Munitions of War, Weapons and Dangerous Goods) Order 1973 from civilian air carriers carrying arms and armaments on behalf of any agency of the US Government in the context of the visit by President Bush. The regulation of military and diplomatic flights through Irish airspace is a matter for the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
