290 Ms Enright asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 182 of 3 June 2004 if he will now consider the appeal of a person (details supplied) to remain here with their family; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20646/04]
View answerThe person concerned was informed on 23 June 2004, in accordance with section 3 of the Immigration Act 1999, as amended, that it was proposed to make a deportation order in his case. He was given the options of making representations within 15 working days to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform setting out reasons why he should be allowed to remain in the State, to voluntarily leave the State or to consent to the making of a deportation order. To date, it does not appear that the person in question has made any representations in this regard, although he may do so before 15 July 2004.
