307 Dr. Cowley asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will assent to funding an extension of the Brackloon group water scheme, serving the Carrowkennedy area of Westport, to a number of houses suffering from a lack of water or contaminated from other sources; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the administration of group water schemes has been devolved to county councils. Consequently my Department does not have information on the status of applications by particular group water schemes for grant assistance.
