My Department has participated in two previous decentralisation programmes. In 1983 the vehicle registration unit, involving 75 staff, decentralised to Shannon, while under a later decentralisation programme in 1989 a number of sections, totalling 115 staff, moved to Ballina. The headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency, which was established in 1993, moved to Wexford in 1994. There are currently 114 staff employed in the EPA in Wexford. The further information sought in the question is not readily available and its compilation would involve a disproportionate amount of time and work.
