227 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide core funding to a centre (details supplied) in Dublin in order to prevent its imminent closure in view of the impact such a closure would have on the Coeliac Society of Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has asked the Eastern Regional Health Authority to make a grant of €150,000 available to alleviate the immediate needs which have been outlined by the Board of the Carmichael Centre. Representatives of the centre have now confirmed to my Department that it will remain open.
