257 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of days in each of the past two years on which the accident and emergency departments of the Mater and Beaumont Hospitals went off-call for part of or for a whole day, with a breakdown for both; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not routinely collect the information requested by the Deputy. My Department has, therefore, asked the Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to reply directly to the Deputy in relation to the specific information requested.
