1246 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if mechanisms exist to ensure that interview boards established under the auspices of his Department and which comprise of two or more persons are gender balanced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is committed to equality of opportunity and consequently the policy and procedures for the selection of interview boards provides that due regard is given to the requirement for gender balance when nominating members to interview panels.
