201 Ms McManus asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she will review her policy of granting work permits for film producers to bring in American film technicians to work on films in Ireland in view of the growing threat to the livelihoods of Irish film technicians; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I have asked my Department to consider the particular circumstances of the film industry and to review the suitability of our instruments of economic immigration for that sector. It will be important to ensure that Ireland remains an attractive location for overseas filmmakers.
