414 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide the funding needed to replace the windows which are now a safety hazard at a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; the reason sanction has not been given by his Department for this work in view of the fact that it suggested that the work be undertaken in 2001; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The scope of works required at the school referred to by the Deputy is appropriate for consideration under the summer works scheme. It is open to the school authority to apply for the works under the 2005 summer works scheme, details of which are published on my Department's website at www.education.ie.
