792 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason the Western Health Board has discontinued its quarterly cervical smear clinics held throughout County Roscommon; when the last clinic was held; if their removal was part of the 2004 service plan; if the service will be reinstated immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of health services in County Roscommon is a matter for the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to examine this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
