The central applications facility has received one application for a decentralised position at Ballinasloe from an employee of the National Roads Authority. Some 89 posts from the National Roads Authority have been allocated for decentralisation to Ballinasloe. There has been a general reluctance on the part of State agency employees to use the CAF and this may well have influenced the National Roads Authority position. The Department of Finance is currently engaged in ongoing negotiations with unions and staff associations representing State agency employees.
