445 Mr. O’Shea asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the proposals he has in regard to overhauling or replacing the totally unsatisfactory public water supply in the Ring Gaeltacht, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23222/04]

The Ring Helvic water supply scheme is included in my Department's water services investment programme 2004-06 as a scheme to start in 2005.

I understand that revised preliminary report for the scheme is currently being prepared by Waterford County Council for submission to my Department.
