123 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources when his attention was drawn to alleged commercial fishing irregularities at Killybegs, County Donegal; if other locations have been mentioned in this context; if action has been taken to address the issues with a view to preserving the integrity of the fishing industry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have referred the matters to which the Deputy refers to the Garda Síochána. As I understand that these matters are currently the subject of an investigation by the Garda Síochána, I consider that it would be inappropriate for me to comment further or make a statement at this time.
