135 Mr. McGuinness asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the supports and services that are available in County Carlow for persons with autism; the autism specific schools that are available in Carlow; the funding allocated to this group; and her future plans for the services in the country. Responsibility for the provision of funding for services, including support services, for persons with intellectual disability and those with autism in the Carlow area is a matter, in the first instance, for the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the health board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him.
