238 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the reason for the delay in payment of statutory redundancy to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who worked under a FÁS administrative scheme; if payment will now issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This relates to a former employee of a private company that was grant aided by FÁS under the social economy programme. Responsibility for statutory redundancy payments rests in the first instance with the employer. I understand from FÁS that it will be in contact with the employer about this issue.
