319 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the overall numbers in the Garda Síochána by rank and by gender in 2002, 2003 and 2004; the numbers at each rank by gender, eligible for promotion in 2002, 2003 and 2004; the numbers at each rank, by gender, who applied for promotion in 2002, 2003 and 2004; the numbers at each rank by gender who were successful in gaining promotion in 2002, 2003 and 2004; the numbers of members of the force who retired in 2002, 2003 and 2004 broken down by rank and gender; the numbers of students in each intake by gender in 2002, 2003 and 2004; the number of applications to join the Garda Síochána broken down by gender in 2002, 2003 and 2004; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
