Questions (88)

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

125 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if she will take steps to ensure that the clinical and financial audits of a facility managed by a charitable organisation (details supplied), which were undertaken by the South Western Area Health Board and completed in February 2004, and which have already been supplied to the charitable organisation, will be published and supplied to the parents and guardians of the residents of the audited facility; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that a discrete financial audit of the charitable organisation itself, commissioned by the South Western Area Health Board in 2003, was apparently abandoned; and the reason it was abandoned. The publication of the report referred to by the Deputy is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and the other issues raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him.
