Questions (170)

Seymour Crawford

Question:

217 Mr. Crawford asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children her views on whether it is reasonable or realistic for a person (details supplied) in County Cavan to be advised on a number of occasions that the appointment for a pre-assessment has been cancelled in Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan; her further views on whether it is further proof that the waiting list is not relevant simply due to the fact that people cannot obtain assessments in order to secure a place on the waiting lists; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of services at Our Lady's Hospital in Navan rests with the North Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the issue raised and to reply directly to the Deputy.
