My Department has made no awards to the company in question in respect of the plant in question in the last ten years. Payments amounting to €1.27 million were made to the company in the period December 1994 to June 1997 in respect of an award made in 1992. My Department, in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland, is examining the position regarding contingent liabilities arising from the plant's closure. The process of recovery of any amounts identified as due will follow upon completion of this exercise.
