A declaration of acceptance of Irish citizenship as post nuptial citizenship was received in the citizenship section of the Department on 15 April 2004 from the person referred to in the Deputy's question. The current processing time for such declarations is approximately ten months from the date of lodgement. Processing of the declaration of the person concerned has already commenced and I understand that it should be finalised early next year. I will let the Deputy know when the matter has been concluded.
