Questions (425)

Billy Kelleher

Question:

476 Mr. Kelleher asked the Minister for Education and Science if she will make funding available to a school (details supplied) in County Cork to carry out urgent and essential structure works to underpin an old stone wall that is in danger of collapse; if her attention has been drawn to the seriousness of the situation; if she will absolve the board of management and trustees of liability if the funding is not immediately forthcoming and the wall falls; if her attention has further been drawn to the fact that a health and safety officer has inspected the wall and expressed serious concern regarding its safety and that the school has had no alternative but to cordon off the area in question from staff and pupils; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
