234 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Defence the number of civil servants and other staff employed on constituency and public relations work for each of his Ministers of State; the grade and remuneration of each of these members of staff; and if he will compare these employees to those employed by the corresponding Minister of State at November 2001. The Minister of State at the Department of Defence, Deputy Kitt, has one clerical officer employed on constituency work at a rate of €23,791 per annum. The corresponding Minister of State in November 2001 also had one clerical officer working on constituency matters.
