View answerThe Irish Nationality and Citizenship Regulations 1993, as amended in 1996, provides that certain fees are payable on the making of a declaration of post-nuptial citizenship or on the issue of a certificate of naturalisation. The fee for making a declaration of post-nuptial citizenship is €126.97. The normal fee for naturalisation is €634.87. Exceptions are made in the case of a spouse or widow of an Irish citizen or a minor, with a fee of €126.97, as well as in the case of convention refugees, programme refugees and stateless persons, to whom no fee applies. There are no further provisions for exemptions or reduced fees in the relevant regulations.
