226 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science, further to Parliamentary Question No. 122 of 13 October 2004, when the special needs assistant will be put in place for a person (details supplied) in view of the fact that they have already missed over 40 hours of tuition; the reason for the delay; the reason that the school principal has never received any acknowledgement of the submission; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has sanctioned a full-time special needs assistant to cater for the care needs of the pupil concerned and the school authorities have been advised accordingly.
