162 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the position in relation to the approval of contract documents for the replacement of a swimming pool (details supplied) in County Kildare; the amount of grant funding available in 2005 for such projects; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerKildare County Council has applied for grant-aid under the local authority swimming pool programme for the provision of a replacement swimming pool in Naas. This proposal is one of a number of projects that are under consideration in my Department at contract document stage of the programme. The council has also applied for grant-aid in respect of the refurbishment of the pool in Athy. The provision in my Department's Estimates for the local authority swimming pool programme in 2005 is €25 million.
