View answerThe EU Commission's review of the television without frontiers directive is ongoing. The Commission has indicated that it might bring forward proposals in relation to a possible revision of the directive towards the end of this year.

View answerMy Department does not provide financial or other supports to promote the export of Irish produced television programmes or formats, and I have no plans to introduce such measures. It is a matter for the holders of the rights to such programming or formats to decide how to exploit the use of their rights.
