237 Mr. Timmins asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of personnel who on applying for promotion in her Department since January 2004, have been required to sign an agreement that they are willing to decentralise; how many of them refused to sign the agreement; if this impacted on their promotion or otherwise; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department is not one of the Departments earmarked for decentralisation under the Civil Service decentralisation programme. The signing of an agreement by staff to decentralise would not, therefore, arise.
