Questions (153)

Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

153 Mr. J. O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if any practical arrangements are in place for non-nationals to transfer visa or other entries on their passports confirming entitlement to reside or work in Ireland, in the situation where their passports have either expired or need to be replaced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Permission granted to non-EEA nationals to remain in the State is endorsed on their passports in the form of a stamp. On receipt of new passports, non-EEA nationals should return to their local immigration officer to have their current permission to remain endorsed in their new passports.
